The Admissions Journey

Northwood is a small, carefully formed community. We want every family who joins to be a great fit - for their child, and for ours. Here’s how the process works:

Step 1 - Learn

Explore our website, and if you can, attend one of our Family Information Meetings. Get a real feel for what Northwood is and what it isn’t.

Step 2- Read

Read Courage to Grow by Laura Sandefer. This book tells the story of how Acton Academy came to be and will give you a genuine sense of the philosophy behind Northwood. Families who connect with this book tend to thrive here.

Step 3 - Apply

When you’re ready, complete our short application. You’ll let us know a little about your family and confirm you’ve done the groundwork.

Step 4- Family Visit

We’ll invite you and your child to a personal visit with Chelsea. This is a chance for us to get to know each other and explore whether Northwood is the right fit for your family.

Step 5- Decision

We both decide. If it’s a great fit, we’ll extend an enrollment offer and secure your child’s spot with the $50 enrollment fee.
